Steve,
Just wanted to introduce myself. Small world. We have similar good fortunes as I also have an Eldorado that was originally Victorian Gold and Sandalwood interior. Not sure how many of these were made but two survived. Yours is gorgeous and I hope when I get my restoration done it can compare. Just so you did not think I was copying your dream idea completely, I changed the color to green (Just kidding). I actually struggled with that decision if I should keep it all original, but it had already been repainted Turquoise, and because I always loved a favorite Pearlized Green Cadillac with Sandalwood interior when I was young, I decided to paint it in that original period Cadillac PPG Ditzler color at the sake of some originality. Though I know the 62 Eldo was never offered in that color combo - it should have cause it looks great! Anyway - thanks for the great pictures you added and I may have to have you make me a show sign sometime - just a copy of yours would do!! HA! You can drive over and see my car in San Diego any time! Best, joZef jdziu@hotmail.com |
